Seriously, dude. I remain to be convinced that there is any fandom for which 'the characters go to a bar, sing karaoke and get drunk (not necessarily in that order)' plotline really works. Give it up.

Unless, of course, it allows for the possibility of Snape singing Celine Dion songs to Harry, which is another type of wrongness altogether... ;)

It would work in Ugly Betty, but only because Betty and Daniel have actually ended up in a bar, singing karaoke.

But even then I'd be hard pressed to believe a story in which they communicate their undying love for each other in song.

I think it's the way that the characters always seem to have a thing for boybands or power ballads... ;)

*cough* It was canon in one Angel episode *g*

Whether it worked or not? That's up to the viewer!

But canonical use doesn't mean a licence for fic use! Or something. ;)

I can so see Jack and George doing that!

Mpreg set in a karaoke bar? It's the ninth circle of hell! ;)

LOL! Nah, I'll leave the karaoke to others. :)

Oooo MPreg! I have one languishing on my hard drive I need to dust off. Who and what fandom?

Mine's Teal'c/OC, from a Gate mishap. Darn Cater and her overriding of the dialing protocols! :)

In yours, who gets pregnant and how, if you don't mind me asking? :)

It's Daniel, in an AU where women have disappeared from the planet, and a government agency (related to NID) want men reproducing and are trying to use alien technology to make it happen. And, of course, it will get complicated.

It always does! That sounds neat. Where will you post it? Is there a sekrit MPreg fan fiction archive I should know about for after I finish mine? ;)

Y'know, I have no idea! I'll probably put mine on LJ and post to a few lists and put it at Area 52.

Why is it always Daniel? It's not like he has child-bearing hips or anything... it's the hair, isn't it? ;)

You had to know I'd comment :-)

In fact, you should check out the Secret Santa story written for me in this year's Don We Now Our Gay Apparel, which is not only utterly, utterly awesome, but has that very plot device as the climax.

Well, for your guys it's hardly a plot device, is it? But then anything short of mechanical spacebulls is going to register as outlandish either... ;)
