After my drama queen post the other day, the official verdict from Suzanna the vet (who was amazed at how Lily's coat has grown back, considering the last time she saw her was a couple of days post-op) is chest infection. She started coughing yesterday, and her breathing has been a bit rattly, so I can't say I'm surprised - I put her down on the table to be examined and she just flopped where I put her.

So we're currently dosing her up with Baytril and trying to increase her liquid intake, with a view to going back to see Suzanna on Saturday for more intensive intervention if this doesn't work.

Give miss Lily a hug for me. I went several rounds with this thing last year. Magick had it. She shared with Spirit, who didn't decide to actually show symptoms until after Magick had cleared it... which meant he shared it right back. *sigh*

But the Baytril did it. As did large amounts of chicken babyfood, which gets in water and food at the same time. :)
