graculusYou know, every time I end up writing Stargate SG-1 fic, I swear I spend as much time trying to figure out ingenious ways to get people stranded offworld back home without the use of a functioning GDO of their own as I do figuring out anything else. Damn canon devices. And yes, Jack and Daniel are currently stranded offworld. But at least they're together now, which they weren't (for reasons I have no intention of going into) for about the first 12,000 words.
I guess every fandom probably has things like this (and if so, please feel free to share with me what they are...), but surely I can't be alone in my vexation? Also suggestions for dealing with the GDO issue gratefully considered!
