"Here we go: despite receiving an order for three more episodes on Friday, the Aaron Sorkin NBC drama Studio 60 on Sunset Strip is about to be put out of its misery." [Source]

Last week's figures:
Heroes - 14.3 million; 15% of the prized 18-49 demographic
Studio 60 - 7.7 million; 8% of 18-49

Yep, that's a shedding of pretty much 50% of the lead-in audience, many of whom apparently watched CSI: Miami (viewing figures: 17.5 million) instead... I hate to say 'I told you so', but it's looking like the writing is on the wall.

They could still be wrong, but sadly the figures speak for themselves...

I don't think they're wrong. I love the show, but the ratings are awful. Heck, even people who have always Sorkin have stopped watching...

I tried about three eps of this and just gave up, too wordy, too complicated and I hated Amanda Peet. Couldn't see the point of the character and why she was shoehorned into every episode even when she wasn't necessary.

Very pleasantly surprised by Matt Perry's acting ability, but I never felt I got to know any of the characters at all. Can't say I'm surprised at it going, they sure don't mess around over there when something isn't doing well.

I found her less annoying than the other lead female character, who I just wanted to shut-the-hell-up every time she started whining about her former relationship. Yeuch. But I agree the Amanda Peet character was completely unconvincing as supposedly this hotshot tv executive, since she was barely dynamic enough to get out of a wet paper bag.

I've said it before, those characters were better last time round, when they used to be called Dan and Casey... ;)

Not surprised at all. Apart from the fact that it just wasn't funny, the focus on Harriet and Matt was just too much. Everyone wanted more Matt and Danny and instead we got the trials and tribulations of a whiny, arrogant, hypocritical, drama queen, not what I was expecting or wanting.

Plus it was done better on Sports Night ;-)

Can't really say I'm surprised. It seems to be a re-hash of Sports Night with actors from The West Wing, but it's neither funny nor interesting imo. Plus, too much MP and not enough BW. I managed 4 eps before giving up.
