Update on Lily

We had what was hopefully our final trip to the vets for a while yesterday - while I drive a similar distance to and from work, when I'm working, I don't mind that quite so much as at least I have the day to get over it. This driving up for a brief appointment thing is more of a killer...
Anyway, the incision seems to be healing nicely, Lily seems perky enough in herself, but she's not eating very much at all. The stitches should start to drop out next week of their own accord and I now have some expensive recovery food to give her, which she is accepting reluctantly (since it's more fun to mess with my mind!). She gets a spoonful every few hours and she'll eat then till she's bored enough to try and run off with the spoon.
It's unlikely she'll get her coat back in time for the winter, but I shall have to see how things are before she goes back in with the boys. I'm ambivalent over this, as she's a poor skinny weasel at the moment and they're rambunctious lads. The only other alternative is this kind of thing! ;)
