Someone on my friendslist pointed out yesterday that NaNoWriMo is 6 weeks away. Eek!

Now I don't know if anyone else is planning to throw themselves into that madness, but I fancied having a go at it this year - maybe it'll fall apart and I won't manage the 50,000 words, but maybe it won't. ;)

I'm making life easier for myself (I hope) by choosing one of three SG-1 stories I've been intending to write for a while and having already promised it to an editor...

As I'm a complete plot-whore I struggle to write anything quickly, so after weeks of debating I wrote an autobiography for a character and pretty much spent the entire month writing about a fantasy life :) It was fun at times, although a pain when I knew I had to write but couldn't get the muse to co-operate. My advice if you're going for a full story is to plot it out before hand. Write a guide, so if you get stuck you have something to work around and you don't necessarily have to write scenes in order.
