graculusWell, apparently the 'excellent surgeon' at my own vets doesn't feel up to the job and the guy they normally refer their 'exotic' pets to for surgery has never done ferret adrenal surgery either. Though he's willing to do it, if I want. Hmmmm.
So, I've just been emailing ferret clubs and rescues in my area in the hope that someone has experience of a vet doing the operation in question. *crosses fingers*

Date: 2006-09-11 11:20 pm (UTC)I know when I was trying to find a vet that would do the 'Passports for Pets' scheme in France how very long it took to find one that was comfortable with doing so. At least 6 months, if not nearly a year. It's horribly preying on the mind. I had to go to the Spanish border to find one and the journey to him must have taken at least 35 - 40 mins. No fun when one of your cats utterly detested any form of trip in a car... :(
