Aug. 24th, 2006 11:10 pmSince I moved into this house, which is probably six years ago now if I think about it, I've got used to going left to go to work - up the road, over the railway bridge, across the roundabout...
In my previous job, I used to go straight on towards the bridge over the canal which is about half a mile further on, then down to the power station and through onto the dual carriageway. For my existing job, I turn left and drive past the edge of the houses then into the country before driving along the side of the same canal but in the opposite direction.
So, this morning I'm heading to work and I'm clearly on automatic pilot as I'm almost at the bridge over the canal before I realise where I'm going. First time in well over a year that I haven't thought and automatically headed for my old workplace. Clearly I need a break! ;)
