Good news and not-so-good news

Yes, it's the early hours of Sunday morning and I am still up. This may not be the case shortly, but we'll see... ;)

The good news is that I've finished the WWW story I needed to write, so that's just gone off to the editor in question who kindly let me hand my homework in a week late. Let's hope she's equally forgiving when she discovers I've written almost 7,000 words for her with only implied sex! ;)

The not-so-good news is that I've been making a reluctant ferret take electrolyte solution every couple of hours for since the middle of the afternoon and what is coming out of the other end now doesn't look a great deal better than it did then. I've also squirted two lots of kaogel suspension down her throat, making me even less popular with her.

You know, I have a pretty good idea what the entries on here are going to be about for at least the next few days, so if anyone wants to ignore me completely, please feel free to do so...

Anyway, I put Lily back in with the boys to sleep this morning at about 2.30am since it was quite cold last night and I didn't think that would do her any good. I went to bed and woke up again about 7.30am, got her to drink some water and then put her back on her own. She's just had another dose of kaogel and antibiotics mixed with electrolyte and I'm leaving her for a bit before I try and get her to take some food, since I'm pretty sure she hasn't eaten anything since some time Friday.

At least she's not any worse, as far as I can see, so I'm hanging onto that as a good sign. *crosses fingers* Though it's painful to see how poorly she is in comparison to the bouncing thuggish bundles of life that are the boys.
