But why is the fic gone?

How vexing when you post fic and not only does the fic not arrive on either of the two mailing lists you sent it to, neither does your subsequent post asking where the fic went?

Hmmph. :(

My geeky dark side, not so hidden!

I share an office with one other person and a while back I was lamenting about my tendency towards geeky gadget love.

The conversation goes something like this...

Me: I need to buy a tumble drier.
Her: That would be good.
Me: However I really want an mp3 player more than I want a tumble drier.
Her: I can see how that would work.

Today, I confess that over the weekend I spent money and her immediate response was "And it wasn't on a tumble drier, was it?".
