My forum made it onto fandom_wank and all I got was this lousy t-shirt!

And yeah, we do have a number of relative nutbars on Our Stargate, but they're *our* nutbars! ;) Besides which, considering the recent other entries on fandom_wank, we'd have to work damn hard to catch up with the Ducks etc.

For those of you that care (and the rest of you... *g*), my final assignment of the year is done and printing off as we speak! :)

That means I can go buy chocolate and teabags and all sorts of other things for the people I'm going to see very soon, as well as trying to figure out just how I'm going to get it all in my luggage.

Everytime I think MGM/Bridge et al can't get much smarter, they go and prove me wrong!

Their latest brainwave? Well, there's a little thing called Gatecon, it's a convention based in Vancouver that's for the past 3 years had a good deal of involvement and support from the people who make the show. That means, among other things, set tours that raise money for charity.

So, imagine the surprise of people who're heading out to Gatecon this year to discover that some bright spark has decided that there will be no set tours this year. Apparently now they've struck some kind of deal with Creation to do 'official' SG cons, tptb have no intention of giving anything to Gatecon, regardless of the fact that it's for charity and that Creation don't hold a con that weekend (or any time in Vancouver, to date).
