Escape from Alcatraz

Just got home to discover a note from my neighbour to say there was an escape attempt this afternoon. Somehow, three of the weasels managed to get out, which she'd discovered when one of them wandered into her kitchen to say hello - she was able to catch him, then the other two escapees who were in my garden. Meanwhile Lily was fast asleep, oblivious to all of this going on around her...

Little ratbags! I have no idea how they managed it, since all the catches on the cage are quite stiff, so I shall have to keep an eye on them.

Glad to hear everyone was wrangled and made it back home safely! One of my greatest fears is losing a ferret in the wilds of Chicago. I'd never find him/her again.

The one that turned up in her kitchen must have gone straight round to see if she was there, if the others were still hanging around close enough to be caught easily... little monsters.

I caught a gerbil once, in my dorm room. It took three days to figure out who lost her.

I'm glad you got them all back! You've got a good neighbor there.
