Website blather

Every so often I have a look at the stats for my website and it's always entertaining to see just how much traffic my recs pages (in particular) are getting. Like the visit from the Indonesian Skinner/Krycek fan who popped by today, or the people from Kazakhstan or other far-flung places where you might not really expect people to be reading fanfic.
Unsurprisingly the Harry Potter pages seem to generate the most hits, with the Snape/Harry page pretty much always being the most popular. So while the initial frenzy for that pairing might have slowed down, and various things in the most recent book have surely exercised the minds of writers to write around, clearly there's still a lot of interest in it...
Still, considering that the pages are there primarily for my convenience, so when I'm talking to people and end up going 'oh, but there's this great story where...' then I can more easily point out just where it is, I think that the amount of traffic they are getting is kind of nifty. Not that I have anything on the proselytising power of
katyabaturinsky, though, who really needs to start using her powers for good! ;)
