For some reason, since I use Opera 8.54 as my default browser, I don't get any animated icons showing as being more than just the first pic on either Livejournal or Journalfen.

This isn't too bad, since I dislike most animated icons anyway, but it's odd...

E.T.A. And then I updated to the beta version of Opera 9 and they're all animated again! Except now I've figured out how to turn them off. Mwahahaha!

I think there's a setting that allows you to set animated images to not-animating. Opera probably has it pre-set, versus Firefox, which you have to switch it over.

You could probably switch it back, if you wanted, but that'd require wanting to...

Curiouser and curiouser. Because I too use Opera 8.54 and I see animated icons perfectly well. How intriguing.

I can only assume katemonkey is right and I must have clicked something I shouldn't have, in order for them to suddenly not be showing up as animated any more...

Tools
Preferences
Advanced
Browsing - under 'Page icons'. Mine is set to 'Embedded icons and favicons', but there are two other options, one being 'embedded only'.

Just a thought. Possibly. Maybe.
