Been to get my eyes tested this morning and in the over 3 years since I last went, apparently my eyes have changed to the point where my current prescription is now too strong for them - that kind of explains why I've been getting more headaches in the past few months, I guess! ;)

E.T.A. this amusing conversation...

Me: Do you take American Express?
Them: No
Me: Then why is there a sign right by your till with the logo on it?
Them: Well, we don't take it

I went for my eyes testing a few weeks ago and was surprised to find my prescription hadn't changed - the optician said when you hit your 30's your eyesight tends to stabilise and may even improve after that.

I decided to get a new pair of specs and after overunning their delivery estimate be a week, I got a call yesterday from the opticians telling me they'd broken them during testing and had to start again... It's a good job I don't need them, that's all I can say.

Well, I'd thought mine had already stabilised because I'd not needed a different prescription the last time but maybe I was just tardy? ;)
