If there's one thing that bugs me about a wide variety of satellite channels, it's that they seem to run the same ads for their own shows over and over and over and over again. And while I could happily watch Living TV's Alan/Denny Boston Legal ad repeatedly, I surely can't be the only one who wants to kick Ricky Gervais in his smug, smirking, self-congratulatory face?

This isn't part of the supposed Ricky Gervais backlash, btw, which I saw touted somewhere as part of the whole 'Brits don't like successful people' idea - I never liked the guy or thought he was funny... ;)

I've never been someone who goes much for being told what to like, and that works just as well for so-called comedy as anything else. And don't get me going on the subject of Friends (or indeed the vast majority of US 'comedy' shows)...
