Apr. 22nd, 2006 12:34 pmIf there's one thing that bugs me about a wide variety of satellite channels, it's that they seem to run the same ads for their own shows over and over and over and over again. And while I could happily watch Living TV's Alan/Denny Boston Legal ad repeatedly, I surely can't be the only one who wants to kick Ricky Gervais in his smug, smirking, self-congratulatory face?
This isn't part of the supposed Ricky Gervais backlash, btw, which I saw touted somewhere as part of the whole 'Brits don't like successful people' idea - I never liked the guy or thought he was funny... ;)

Date: 2006-04-22 01:34 pm (UTC)As for RG, the trailers for The Office were such a turn-off that I've never wanted anything to do with it or any of the other actors I associated with that program. I did catch a bit of one of his stand-up shows though ('Animals'?) and it was ok, but not enough for me to want to see him in anything else. And I'd have to be pretty desperate to watch The Simpsons.
