Apparently Commanders worried at the possibility of losing men had confided to the then head of naval law that "50% of the fleet have sinned homosexually at some time in their naval career".

My grandda never told me the Navy was like this! Hell, if I'd known there was going to be public acts of indecency in front of hand clapping audiences I might've considered joining up!
