I'm sure it'll come as no surprise to anyone to hear that I've phoned in sick today. Well, I do have a bit of a headache (anxiety-related, I'm sure...), but since I had a meeting in my diary this morning I couldn't really take leave instead and there's nothing in my contract about must-stay-home-to-forcefeed-sick-pet leave. *shrugs*

Lily is off to the vets later today - I thought a late afternoon appointment would be a good idea, as that'll allow me to continue to ~~harass~~ dose her every couple of hours till then and she does seem a bit brighter in herself. Also while not a great deal is going in the front end (and words cannot describe the sensation for me as a vegetarian of literally hand-feeding chicken paste... yeuch), it's not coming out the back the scary way that it was on Saturday and yesterday morning and that has got to be a step forward!
