I thought I'd put this behind a cut for those who don't give a damn... ;)
Anyway, having watched the two eps Sky has shown so far, I'm decidedly impressed by thir production quality.
One thing which amused me, and I hadn't considered it before, was how they dealt with the passage of time. Wolfe and Archie never get older in the books, though Rex Stout was writing over about a 30-year span, so there are books set in vastly different time-frames.
The two I've seen so far were written in 1940 and 1966 respectively, and they've dealt with this by just calmly restyling stuff. I didn't realise this until about 10 minutes into 'Death of a Doxy' when I noticed the stylish 60's suit Archie is wearing.
It becomes much more obvious later when he wears a *bright* yellow suit. I know it's Wolfe's favourite colour, but even so... ;)
More, please!
