We started getting fireworks over a week ago, after which it was Diwali so we got some more. Tonight they've been going on for the best part of 3 hours so far. I can only assume that fireworks must have been much cheaper this year... ;)

I'm also incredibly glad that I have critters who are too stupid to realise that loud banging noises are a bad thing and something to be scared of.

We were planning on going out tonight, but had to stay in with the dog, she was terrified. Poor thing was really shaking and unhappy. They don't usually bother her at all, Peter used to take her shooting and she's been trained to the gun ever since a puppy, she's ten now, and the noise has never bothered her at all.

Really noticed this year that she's feeling her age and I keep thinking of her as old now, very sad :-(.
