fannish5: Name 5 of your bulletproof kinks.
Bulletproof kinks can be themes, subjects, pairings ... anything that you seek out, never tire of and will wade through drek to experience.
1. How-they-first-met stories - in those fandoms where the first meeting of the characters isn't canon (so we're talking fandoms like Man from UNCLE, Wild Wild West, etc...) I absolutely love the wide variety of things people think up for how our two protagonists first met. And I'll at least start any story with this theme, regardless. It's even better if they initially don't get on... ;)
2. Stories where character A (falsely) thinks character B has betrayed them in some way. I'm not keen on actual betrayal, unless it's later shown they're undercover and had to behave that way or something, but misunderstandings and misinterpretation are the bread and butter of fanfic, aren't they?
3. Daniel/Teal'c - if it's out there, I've probably read it. I might have gone 'what show are you watching????' as a result, but I've read it...
4. Amnesia stories - again, I really like amnesia stories and will happily at least try anything in a fandom I read with that premise. It's no coincidence that one of my favourite Sentinel stories is Not Exactly Funny by helen, where both Jim and Blair get amnesia... ;)
5. This space deliberately left blank. (I always think of something after I've posted!)
This was a difficult one, mostly because over my time in fandom, I've come to really enjoy fic with themes which I never thought I would but don't really have particular things that I search out. I just like a well-written story with a (semi-)logical plot where the characters behave in a way that seems consistent to me with what I've seen onscreen. Of course, I am often disappointed... ;)
