I'm writing something for an e-zine and I can't help worrying a little about what the reaction to it is going to be, since it's somewhat darker and more edgy than much of the stuff in that fandom. (*waves to Lumina*)

Seriously, I wouldn't worry about it. Yes, Ezslash does have a preponderance of fluff in comparison to other styles/content, but I don't necessarily believe that's because the readership, taken as a whole, prefers it that way. Just a reflection of the majority of the kinds of writers we've thus far attracted. And if all they write is fluff, and that's all anyone sees... Well, it can be a Catch-22. So we need to get more weighty stuff out there, to get more weighty stuff.
Hey, I can give you a list of names, mine included, of folks virtually starving for non-fluffy Ezslash. Please, give it to us. :g:
