graculus: (Thoughtful Daniel)

I suppose it's too much to ask that people not display their overwhelming ignorance in public, isn't it?

Yep, thought so!

Yes, the script does say in the Stargate SG-1 episode 'Legacy' that there's no history of schizophrenia in Daniel's family and then later on in the series ('Crystal Skull') this minor point is conveniently forgotten. Because if Nick Ballard doesn't have a diagnosis of schizophrenia after what would be described as auditory and visual hallucinations and delusional thoughts, I'll eat my hat.

And, as I just pointed out on OS, 'just plain nuts' is not a recognised DSM diagnosis and therefore cannot be used to refute someone's comment that this is a continuity gaffe.

Actually... it's your fault for using logic. :P

Nowadays I don't try to make SG stuff fit anymore. Not with those PTB. My biggest consolation is that Daniel keeps looking so hot...

She missed my whole point. Daniel didn't have any family, then he had no history of something in his family, suddenly he has both... (driving 18-wheeler through hole)

She's wanting to get picky about something that has nothing to do with my plotholing. Grrrr

There was this guy at work today who walked right past the open door and started knocking on the locked one. A nice person would have gone out and got him; me? I reckoned if he was that stupid I didn't want to talk to him. Eventually he started tapping on the window and shouting "I thought you were open!" through the glass. He did find the open door after I pointed it out to him. I was surprised he didn't need help turning the handle.
