Stupid comments redux...

Following my post last night I can only assume there's something in the water...

Took two of the kids to the vets this morning as they have a slight skin infection - been there before with one of them and antibiotics will clear it right up - and as I'm waiting for the vet to finish his calculations regarding how much antibiotics I need, the woman next to me in the waiting room turns to me, looks at the cat carrier and asks:

"What have you got in there? Gerbils?"

After all, everyone knows that two 2-4 ounce gerbils would a) be in a cat carrier and not escape through the gaps in the door of it, and b) make said cat carrier shake like two 2 pound ferrets tussling. :P

It was a bit of a joke, you calling them something they weren't 'cause the lady thought they were something totally not like gerbils. I think it fell flat. :)
