1. A character you really, really love: I had a moment's indecision between Illya Kuryakin and Daniel Jackson,
This is reason #1 why I like you.
2. A character you like: Ray Kowalski. There, I've said it, I like the replacement better than the original. Again, fairly complex character with emotional hang-ups, looks damn good in red serge.
And this would be reason #2.
3. A character you could take or leave: Jim Ellison.
Canon Jim Ellison from the show? Yeah, I'll give you that. Pretty much a two-dimensional pain in the ass. But he has been so well redeemed in fic -- and if there was ever a fandom in which the actual scripts were more outclassed by the fanfic, I've yet to find it -- that I have a lingering fondness for Jim. *Our* Jim. Not theirs.
4. A character you really don't care for: the Malfoys, pere et fils.
Well, I find the whole HP fandom unutterably boring and lacking in any sort of fannish appeal, so I'll give you that one on principle alone.
5. A character you'd like to spork: Buffy Summers.
Especially the Little Miss Lecture Queen of the last season. Please spare me. The self-righteousness was unrelenting. And I'm with you on the utter lack of appeal of Angel as well. I just watched both of them for the lovely British boys in glasses; it was all about Giles and Wesley. Mmm-hmm.
