Logical inconsistencies R us...

graculusSo, there's been some restructuring and we now have an extra tier of management, filled by the woman I've been referring to for the past couple of weeks as Queen of All the Bureaucrats (that's the polite version).
QoAtB: we're going to have the paperless office up and running by October this year.
Us: you know we only have one computer between two staff?
QoAtB: that's plenty.
Us: okay...
QoAtB: And that means we're going to be scanning in stuff that you've hand-written, so that your files are complete.
Us: And all the letters we receive, of course. You know, it'd be much quicker to get us all computers.
QoAtB: ....
Us: And of course here's a list of circumstances where we *have to* have a paper copy (or copies) of stuff on the file.
QoAtB: ....
Us: And who's going to be scanning all this stuff in anyway, and do you realise that scanning makes image files which are bigger than text files and the computers we have are already creaking under the strain of what we're doing now?
QoAtB: Oh, while I have you here, don't forget we're instituting these new forms that are completely unworkable and don't cover the range of information that we want from you (that the forms they're replacing did) and which will take you three times as long to complete on the computer.
Us: You do realise we don't have a computer each, don't you?
*head-desk*
