All I can figure is that either the Atlantis premiere is going to be so fricking amazing, it won't matter what the die-hard fans think, or it's going to be so mediocre that they're afraid to show it to said fans in public. Why else throw away an opportunity to air it to the ideal captive audience?
Taking the tour away, and thus the charity income, makes me embarrassed to be a fan. While I was planning to bid, it wasn't going to make or break my trip if I didn't win a spot. But the slap in the face of the hard-working, dedicated fans who put that convention on every year just guts me.
