The more I hear about it, the more I wish I'd gone to WorldCon. (I was supposed to be doing something, but was let down by one person and abandoned by another so I technically could have done, but I couldn't get myself organised in time.)
Also, I've assumed that I know which author in the bar you're talking about (because we've briefly discussed him before) and you should count yourself lucky you weren't mansplained at by him. He's very good at it. (Mind you, if you call him on it he is always very apologetic, so it's hard to hold it against him. Much.)
