No contest for this one, given that when I got into fandom I chose my pseudonym from one of its characters - the show in question is, of course, Noggin the Nog.
First aired before I was even born, Noggin the Nog was made by the same folks who are also known for creating Ivor the Engine, Bagpuss and The Clangers, all of which deserve an honourable mention in this category. But for me, despite the other shows' many charms, Noggin the Nog surpassed them all.
The style of the show is heavily influenced by the Lewis chessmen and they're essentially saga stories, where our eponymous hero has adventures and is ably assisted by his friends, including the great green bird Graculus.
If this all means nothing to you, then here's the first part of the episode 'The Ice Dragon'...
