Is it possible to have swine flu with just some of the symptoms? Feel as though I've been run over by a bus but have no temperature or coughing, though I'm a little bunged up today (which could be from long periods of time horizontal, I guess, as much as anything). Spent the vast majority of yesterday in bed, asleep, and have just dragged myself out of bed about ten minutes ago today - yesterday I didn't even manage to get out of bed before lunch.

Bleurgh.

I've just dragged myself out of bed to have something to eat, and it's 3pm. I just feel exhausted, coldy and have a sore throat. But it's the exhaustion that's the big thing.

It could be like ordinary flu where you can have flu like symptoms but not the full blow thing - it still doesn't help when you feel totally and utterly awful with whatever it is.

When I had it the big thing the doctors were watching was my fever. So I'm guessing that without a fever it's not the *swine* flu. But as the US news loves to keep reminding us, there's plenty of other flu strains out there that you could be getting. :p

Hope you feel better soon. (Oh, and be careful around the ferrets. I *swear* I gave swine flu to Spirit and I almost lost him.)

OUr town's health clinic nurse said there are mild cases of H1N1 kind of going under the radar at the moment, and it's going to explode full-strength in the population in about six weeks or so. So that sounds a bit like people could have very mild symptoms and still have it.

I hope you get rid of it soon, whatever it is, and feel better.
