graculusFerrets have this really cute thing where they get their front paws on something and scoot backwards with it, often because whatever it is they want to run off with is an odd shape or doesn't quite fit in their mouths...
This morning, I was watching one of them (Buzz, the neurotic panic-weasel) do just this on the ground floor of the cage when I suddenly realised there wasn't anything in the cage he should be able to do this with. When I investigated, I discovered his object of interest was an inch-long slug! Yeuch!
