Spam spam spam spam!

I get a load of spam, which mostly appears to consist of pr0n, ads for Viagra and the like, not to mention watches and the occasional relative of a dead dictator offering to share millions with me, but recently there's been a spate of fake headline stuff ('NFL star dies in bizarre car accident' and so on... I think there was one about the Pope being assassinated, for example). The one I got today, though, really takes the cake:

'Paris Hilton infested with cockroaches.'

I guess on second thought, they could be referring to the hotel... ;)

I've been getting a lot of those recently as well. Some are outright hysterical subject lines. But then there are people who'll think it's real news and click it open.

I *never* get fun spam. Just all those lawyers who think I'm the heir of some tragic accident victim (although I did get one in French yesterday, which was kind of fun) and lots and lots of special "sale" notices from retailers I've bought things from in the past.

Not that I'm complaining. Not much, anyway. :)

Hysterical fake headlines don't sound that bad though...
