The laptop saga, part 3 of 3

Well, it seems my luck has changed! For lo, the carrier company did try and deliver my new laptop this morning and I was able to pick it up from the depot about an hour ago (yes, there are companies that realise people work and therefore picking stuff up within office hours is difficult-impossible! \0/), so now I have laptop! :)

The wireless bit works and it's currently downloading updates to Ubuntu, while I try and get used to a) no mouse, and b) Firefox, not necessarily in that order... Must go and explore whether there's a version of Opera that's compliant, because I am all about the status quo.

There is. You just have to enable the commercial repository.

I'm not sure which version of Ubuntu you have (feisty? gutsy?), but there's probably a commercial repository for it, and it should have Opera.
