I did that and got mocked for it by my colleagues until a doctor seeing me for something else and noting I was wearing a t-shirt, shirt, and jumper in July suggested I get my GP to send me for a thyroid test. By the time that happened and we got the results my function was so low that when the receptionist rang to make an appointment for the endocrinology clinic on Friday and quoted the figures they said 'Come in on Monday morning.'

I'd suggest to her that she see about getting some tests, because, as you say this isn't 'normal' behaviour.
