I know a number of people reading this are working on that reading-50-books-in-a-year thing that's going round - well, I haven't officially joined up but, in case anyone is interested, I decided a couple of months ago to use my Vox account to keep track of what I have been up to. I doubt I would have a great deal of difficulty with it, and if you read through to the end of this post you'll see why. ;)

I snagged the username over on Vox before anyone else did, but there are things about Vox I'm not overly impressed by, while it does at least let you post links to the book in question, including a picture of the cover. Vox does have the option of letting you post an excerpt of your post there to somewhere else, like here, but that's just not going to happen...

So, if anyone is interested in the 24 books I've read since October, then you can find them here.

Wow, you are doing very well!

I have A feast for Crows at home, but haven't started it yet because the new one won't be published until later this year.

I'm quite picky about fantasy, and this series rates very high. The story unfolds well, the caracters are amazingly well done, and the PoV thing works like a charm.

Obviously, one spends lots of time actually yelling at the book, but that's part of the fun. ;)

I do tend to go through phases, particularly when there's not that much good fic around in my chosen fandoms, when I read a lot.

And apparently since October I've been doing just that, as well as still having a pile of library books waiting for me to get to them. I've decided since I pay for libraries as part of my council tax, I may as well get my money's worth... ;)

I read down the first page of your book list - and you're a great review writer. I think I want to read at least 3/4 of the books you described!

And what is this challenge? I don't think I've heard of it.

Thank you. Personally I'd avoid the ones I didn't finish, but I've enjoyed the others... ;)

And the challenge comes from [livejournal.com profile] 50bookchallenge originally, though I don't think any of the people I know who are doing the challenge are actually part of that community. Such rebels!
