Also I would have been more surprised if I hadn't already called who Claire's biological father was pretty much as soon as they mentioned she was adopted... but is it wrong of me to wonder how much screaming there was from the more rabid Peter/Claire shippers to discovering they're actually quite closely (not to mention technically incestuously) related?

From what little I've seen, the reaction seems to be a mixture of 'eww, gross!' running away from their pairing, through 'oh, it can't be true, it must really be Claude!' and on to 'well, we're just going to gloss over this and ignore that it ever happened'. The latter, of course, may get successively more difficult depending on when Nathan discovers that his daughter and the cheerleader he was trying to stop his brother rescuing are one and the same. ;)

Yea-up, I have to admit, I'm sorta enjoying the twistings in the wind that shippers have to go through with their pairings. Stargate did that for me. Ayuh. Thankfully, aside from a general despising of shippers in general, I'm really not into Heroes that way. Watching it to *enjoy* it is nice. Investing in the characters with fic is just... silly, especially since the show it still evolving. IMHO, of course.
