graculusAlas, my poor Linksys wireless router seems to have bitten the dust. Not helped by last night's two powercuts, I think - I'd only just rebooted everything when the power went out again and it wasn't overly happy before that.
Coincidentally, BT had sent me one of those new HomeHub things and so today I spent a fruitless couple of hours trying to get that to work wirelessly before resigning myself to having to cart the computer downstairs. Apparently if your wireless set-up is only a couple of feet away from the hub it works perfectly (not that you'd need it to when an ethernet cable would do) but otherwise no dice.
Still, it's okay as a temporary replacement while I look around for something else... and at least I'm back online! *stops twitching*
