Much belated meanderings...
Oct. 27th, 2003 06:30 pmYep, it's been a while... So here goes at catching up on everything in one post - oh joy! ;)
Connotations was excellent, and I even managed not to come down with con throat, which is unusual. I normally lose my voice from talking and laughing too much when I go to cons. Anyway, maybe next time we can have a more defined fandom-pimping slot in the programme? While it was fun to laugh at the popslashers (and you know who you are!), it wasn't really fair, was it?
My beloved Wolves have managed to struggle up from utter ignominy and are now no longer bottom of the table - we've crawled up to 15th! This was made possible by the letter W and the number 4, a fight-back from 3-0 down to Leicester at half time to win 4-3. I now wish I'd gone to the match, like I was kind of considering last week.
I'm currently about 1,500 words into my first assignment for my MA (due November 19th) and it seems to be going well. My brain is really getting a work-out as well, what with the intensity of 3 utterly full days a block at university.
I'm looking forward to
blktauna coming over next month, and if she's really lucky she might even have a bed to sleep in by the time she gets here! ;) Of course that's possibly dependent on what she brings me...
Fic-wise, I'm not working on much at the moment, though my major SG season 5 re-write story is bubbling away on the back of the stove. It's kind of bleak at the moment, though I'm hoping for happier times now I've got to a particular point in time. Other than that I've got a couple of zine fics *looks meaningfully at
przed* to edit, but my HP addiction is keeping me out of mischief.
Okay, I think that's enough, though I need to make some kind of overall season 7 Stargate post some time. Not now.

Date: 2003-10-28 12:29 am (UTC)No, that was an 'it's Monday and I can't string a coherent sentence together to save my life' post, which was inquiring whether your GNT story is anywhere near done... ;)
I'll bear your kind offer in mind for the future, though!

Date: 2003-10-28 06:02 am (UTC)As for the GNT story, it's nearly done. I blew through the first half pretty fast, but the last few scenes have been killing me. Marian's given me till Sunday, max, so it will be done by then.
