Apr. 6th, 2009 04:12 pmWork was crazily busy last week, so I guess it was bound to happen... After a week on amoxycillin and metronidazole (and as an aside, this stuff is also known as flagyl and now I know why the ferrets hated taking it so much when it was prescribed to them, because it tastes like arse!) that cleared up my gum abcess but left me feeling like crapola.
So instead of going to work today, I pottered around with a bit of reading, a bit of telly and a bit of gardening (which consisted of clearing up a load of the stuff I cut down yesterday). Saturday also saw me clearing all the rubbish out of the shed, which was mostly boxes from when I moved and so on, as at some point in the next few days it's going to get torn down. I'm a little surprised it hadn't fallen down long before some of the local lads decided it would be a really good idea to try and set fire to it a couple of weeks ago.
In non-domestic news, I'm now down to just a couple of new shows: in terms of the new offerings, so far I am very much liking Castle, while I continue to watch both Lie To Me (Tim Roth! On the telly!) and Trust Me, though that's pretty much it... oh, apart from Leverage, of course! *headdesk* I've given up on Heroes completely, as well as anything 2-seasons on that I already know has been canned.
And finally, I stumbled across a neat-looking recipe for roast potatoes and pickled mushrooms (mmmm) that I really want to try, just as soon as I get myself the right sized jar...
