graculus: (sarcasm)
It was frosty this morning and when I got to my car, I found this message written on the windscreen (cold fingers, I hope!): This car is in the way park on your owen(sic) front.

I guess that VanDriver is awake again, though this might have been MumOfVanDriver since it looked kind of female writing. It seems to be missing the 'or else' at the end, which I can only assume is 'or else we'll write more monosyllabic mispelled messages till you do!'. Yes, my one car is in the way, as opposed to the other three cars and one work van which also park on that stretch of road most of the time. Uh huh.

I live in one of a handful of houses on this stretch of the road where you can't park out front with any reasonable expectation of avoiding bodywork damage - I still have a garden wall and the verge has bollards either end, not to mention a bloody great pothole where the workmen from the new estate over the road have been parking (and good luck to them, because I wouldn't). And then the council are planning at some point to come and narrow the verge so traffic can pass left of cars turning right into the new estate.

And until the builders come and remove my shed and replace my fencing, I'm not parking it in the nice secluded-yet-unsecured off road space I have. Meanwhile, where I am parking is still a public road with no parking restrictions. So I guess that's a no, then. ;)
