Sep. 12th, 2008 06:24 pmI think I've mentioned before that I've been researching my family tree, on and off, for a number of months and while I hadn't expected to find anyone famous in there, I think there's always this little hope that secretly you'll be related to someone...
Anyway, it turns out that one of my distant relatives was something of a minor celebrity in his time (his time being the early 19th century) - when I say distant, I mean my maternal great-great-great grandfather was his cousin. Hey, it's still related! I'm speaking of a gentleman called Reverend William Knibb, also known as 'Knibb the Notorious' for his activities against the slave trade.
