Jan. 10th, 2008 06:54 pmIt would be far too obvious for a bookworm like me to comment on the 'one in four UK adults say they haven't read a book in over a year' story, so I won't comment too much on this other than to say... not me, guv!
What I do want to bring to everyone's attention today is this sterling example of democracy in action, as 600+ people petition the UK government about a certain kind of animal they believe should be allowed to be sold in petshops. lexin) but I'm amused on behalf of the person who got the job of responding to this particular campaign.
