Just a quick one before I go to work...

Yesterday, I wandered off to one of the other offices in the city and happened to meet someone who's just been taken on as a temporary worker. Originally, it was intended that this person was going to be employed to do a specific task that had been identified by senior management, which was going to involve significant amounts of liaison with me but also quite a bit of 'getting on with it'.

Apparently he's been driving everyone up the wall with his pathetic whining. And about 3pm or so, he finally said "Well, tomorrow I guess I should bring my reading glasses to work, because the ones I'm wearing today are my driving glasses." Yes, he'd come to work in a local government office, in a job that involves significant amounts of paperwork and computer use and reading of existing files and he hadn't thought he might need to be able to read stuff. *headdesk*

I think I just had a lucky escape from idiot-induced blood pressure problems.

The remote control for my vcr has crapped out, thus making it impossible to program. Grrr.

And to add insult to injury, my replacement vcr (are you surprised I have one?) is also one of those that needs a remote to even set it up and the remote is somewhere in the house. I have no idea where. *headdesk* Found it! :)

Oh yes, I love Heroes very much, regardless of how much mockage I get from blktauna for finding myself a new shiny for my very own... :P
