Still working my way through season 2 of Entourage and I just reached the episode where the guys are at Dorkapalooza San Diego ComicCon... I'm having DragonCon flashbacks!
For anyone who doesn't know the show, which is probably mostly the Brits, it's about a bunch of guys who used to be friends when they were all growing up in Queens and now two of them (who're brothers) are actors - one a rising star, one a bit-part player who's been in a bunch of genre shows and bad movies - while the other two are the star's manager and their idle, good-for-nothing friend. And they all live in LA and mostly live together, spending money like it's going out of style.
The highlight of the show for me, though, is the whole Eric-Ari dynamic. Ari is Vince's agent, all the agent cliches rolled into one, played with great gusto by the wonderful Jeremy Piven. Eric (known to his friends as 'E') is Vince's best friend and manager, still learning the trade but picking it up fast.
Season 1 is finally going to be airing in the UK on one of the ITV channels in September, so watch out for it, folks!
In other news, my season 1 Slings and Arrows dvds are somewhere mid-Atlantic... ;)
Oh, and Bravo picked up the cheesefest that is Blade: the series! Be still, my heart.
