Work stuff
Jun. 23rd, 2006 08:35 pmTo the great delight of the managers in particular, the local authority for which I work just got given a 3-star rating. So that means of all the local authorities auditted so far, we're one of the best and that's a bit boggling. Still, despite all the petty annoyances that working for local government can cause, this comes off the back of loads of work on the part of a load of people and my job even gets a specific mention in the report! ;)
In not-so-good news, I've somehow managed to lose my ID card/entry pass. Which is annoying, because of the aggravation I went through to get it in the first place. The last time I know I had it was Monday, because my current peripatetic state means I don't go to the main office too often and the entry pass is for there - we're supposed to wear our ID all the time but I've never done that (such a rebel!) and all the other buildings I go to have number locks. I only discovered today that it wasn't in my bag where it usually is, and it's not in my car or at home either.
My only hope is that it fell out at the other office I'm currently working at two days a week and it dropped under the desk without me noticing it. If that's the case, the worst case scenario becomes the cleaners laughing at my photo instead...
E.T.A. by a process of elimination, I remembered that I wore my suit on Monday, because I went to the main office after spending almost the whole day in court, and so I went to check and there it was! Yay! Neither mockery nor trying to get a new ID card out of people for me! :) *changes mood*
And it's Friday! Yay for Fridays! :)
