Jun. 7th, 2006 07:01 pmWork continues to provide me with lots of entertainment, which I guess is an unexpected perk! I'm still at Office A, despite the 'get over here now'-type email I had on Monday from the senior manager at Office B and my discussion with her about a possible timeshare on my part. So, we waits...
Meanwhile, the training course for which I was tinkering with Powerpoint a few weeks ago has rolled around - it's this Friday. Yes, the day after tomorrow. And they still haven't told me a) what time they want me there (since I'm only doing a portion of the training on a specific subject) or indeed b) how much time I have to cover what they want me to. Which should be quite entertaining, since I was working on the basis I would have a couple of hours to get through 15? 17? Powerpoint slides without making people's brains dribble out of their ears or having to talk as fast as Brad Chase.
At the moment the last version I heard was 'oh, you'll have an hour, or maybe a little bit longer' and then they had the temerity to ask if I was just going to talk from the front. Dude, I don't have time to do anything else, even if I wanted to! I'm training on the law regarding a specific thing so really it's not easy to give people groupwork and I'm glad I didn't waste my time figuring some out...
*wonders if she will ever be told what time to arrive*
Actually, I'm listed for Day 2, Day 1 being tomorrow, and I wouldn't be at all surprised if I get a panicky phone call tomorrow some time going 'where are you????', if the organisational skills demonstrated so far are anything to go by... ;)
