Apr. 1st, 2006 02:19 pmHaving finally got my hair cut for the first time this year, I now have Kowalski-style experimental hair (though mine appears to be currently significantly shorter than his).
I'm also currently breaking in a new pair of DM boots. Owww. And these are the 939's, which have the padded collar and are therefore less killing to the ankles than the traditional 8-hole boot. I've been told by a number of people that when you have a baby, you forget afterwards just how much it hurts, otherwise you wouldn't have any more - this definitely applies to the breaking in of DM's... ;)
Other than that, this weekend I have to get my WWW story finished, or else. It's almost done, so I feel fairly confident that it'll be okay. I'd already started on a Daniel/Teal'c story which should nicely fit the request I've had from
tealc_ficathon so I expect that ought to be done quite soon too.
And, after the relative disappointment of House of Flying Daggers, I feel I should say good things about Seven Swords, which I watched earlier this week. I was totally hooked, from early on, and I really hope that the promised sequel(s?) is going to be made. Both Donnie Yen and Leon Lai were fantastic in it, the swordplay was excellent and the ubervillain (Sun Hong-Lei) only really needed a moustache to twirl to have been utterly perfect. A great movie, beautifully shot, with engaging performances all round.
