I've lost the will to live where [livejournal.com profile] yuletide is concerned, and been forced to remove it from my fic filter for the time being. Why? Well, the endless stream of posts reccing not one great story which everyone needs to read from the new output, but ten or twenty stories, over and over and over again. I give in, okay?

Yes, there's some good stuff there (two out of the three Nero Wolfe fics are excellent, for example) and I'm sure if you're into something obscure then it's a godsend. I'm positive the people who had fic written for them are delighted with it (see [livejournal.com profile] tryfanstone and [livejournal.com profile] blktauna for details!). But I just don't get the point of the endless rec posts over and over and over... ;)

There's also been excellent fic in [livejournal.com profile] lupin_snape, [livejournal.com profile] merry_smutmas and [livejournal.com profile] muncle (and as soon as it's no longer anonymous, I dare say that some of it will be appearing on my recs pages), but you don't see us all banging on about those over and over and over, do you? If so, I've missed it and of that, I am eternally grateful!

I feel as though my HP recs page is getting unwieldy, mostly because the fandom is just too talented and/or prolific - it's certainly substantially larger than any other single fandom on there. Which is a good thing if you're an HP fan, but I'm wondering if there's a better way to organise it than my present version (preferably one that doesn't involve me bending my brain round mysql... *grins at [livejournal.com profile] xochiquetzl*).

So, let's pick your brains, good friends list people... share your thoughts on the subject with me!
