Well, that's what I told my prospective boss this afternoon anyway. *uncrosses fingers*
So, apparently my would-be employers always offer the bottom of the payscale to any new appointees. I suggested that this was unnecessary penny-pinching, to which he countered that they were expecting new terms & conditions to come into force on June 1st which would then push me a few points higher up the scale. All well and good, I replied, but that's not what you're asking me to sign off on, is it?
Central office location agreed - check.
Parking permit - to be confirmed.
Relocation expenses agreed - check.
Pay offer - to be confirmed. ;)
*waits for round 2*
And we're looking at a rough start date of July 11th at the moment. :)
